The Master of Applied Information Technology (NMIT) at Victoria University is a flexible, accredited course, providing advanced training for students with an IT degree. Areas of focus include cyber security, machine learning and data science. You’ll build on your computing skills, preparing for senior IT roles. - To be considered for postgraduate study, you will need to have specific academic qualifications, as outlined below. Admission criteria Completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a similar discipline OR Completion of an Australian Graduate Diploma (or equivalent) in a similar discipline PLUS IELTS (or equivalent): Overall score of 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) Additional information Students who hold an AQF Level 7 (or equivalent) Bachelor Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent) may apply for credit for one or more of EPM5600, NIT5110, NIT 5130 and NIT5081. If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
