Course overview
The BE/ME is a five-year degree catering for elite students who wish to be a part of an integrated Bachelor and Masters degree in electrical engineering. Unique to the BE/ME at UNSW is the benefit of receiving an undergraduate and postgraduate qualification in electrical engineering, while also studying a chosen broadening discipline (minor) from a large range of areas outside electrical engineering. Students will graduate from the BE/ME with the potential to accelerate their career path into senior engineering roles as well as engineering management.

Entry requirements
Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.
Postgraduate entry
- Year 12 or equivalent
- Assumed Knowledge: HSC Mathematics Extension 1, Physics. Year 12 or equivalent Assumed Knowledge: HSC Mathematics Extension 1, Physics.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
