Entry requirements

Postgraduate entry

  • Applicants are required to have a bachelor degree, OR a diploma and work experience relevant to the course, or equivalent.
  • Within the last 10 years, applicants must have completed a secondary or tertiary mathematics discipline subject that includes calculus (for example, HSC Mathematics Advanced, VCE Mathematical Methods or MTH400 Introductory Mathematics). HSC Mathematics Standard or equivalent is not sufficient. Applicants not meeting this requirement may be admitted provided they enrol in MTH400 Introductory Mathematics as their first subject in the degree. Applicants are required to have a bachelor degree, OR a diploma and work experience relevant to the course, or equivalent. Applicants who wish to pursue the teaching stream, are also required to have completed a four year teaching qualification in primary, secondary or K-12 teaching. Within the last 10 years, applicants must have completed a secondary or tertiary mathematics discipline subject that includes calculus (for example, HSC Mathematics Advanced, VCE Mathematical Methods or MTH400 Introductory Mathematics). HSC Mathematics Standard or equivalent is not sufficient. Applicants not meeting this requirement may be admitted provided they enrol in MTH400 Introductory Mathematics as their first subject in the degree.
