Course overview
The Master of Music (Performance) provides an opportunity to develop high level skills in the production of research based creative work in music performance. The final thesis embodying the results of the research will include the final creative work presentation and a written dissertation. This course is for students with a Bachelor's degree in music, majoring in performance. Postgraduate entry
- To be eligible for admission, you must have completed the equivalent of a Bachelors degree in music with a major in performance.
- The University must certify that there are sufficient supervisory and other resources and facilities available to enable your candidature to be completed successfully. To be eligible for admission, you must have completed the equivalent of a Bachelors degree in music with a major in performance. In exceptional circumstances the Dean or Associate Dean may admit an applicant who does not meet this requirement provided that the applicant has exceptional qualifications and presents evidence of having the aptitude required for undertaking the course. The University must certify that there are sufficient supervisory and other resources and facilities available to enable your candidature to be completed successfully.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
