Entry requirements
Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.
Postgraduate entry
- Applicants must normally hold the Graduate Diploma in Science (Aquaculture) or a degree or equivalent qualification in any relevant discipline of science from an approved tertiary institution.
- The Master of Science (Aquaculture) is not available to graduates of the Bachelor of Science (Aquaculture) or Bachelor of Science (Aquaculture) (Honours) or equivalent. Applicants must normally hold the Graduate Diploma in Science (Aquaculture) or a degree or equivalent qualification in any relevant discipline of science from an approved tertiary institution. However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature. The Master of Science (Aquaculture) is not available to graduates of the Bachelor of Science (Aquaculture) or Bachelor of Science (Aquaculture) (Honours) or equivalent.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
