Course overview
The Bachelor of Engineering Science degree covers all major engineering domains and you can experience many facets of engineering before deciding your area of specialisation at the end of your first year. The Bachelor of Engineering Science may be used as a pathway to the four-year Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree. It may also be used as a three-year exit program for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours). Note: Successful applicants for Advanced Standing may be required to travel to different Western Sydney University campuses to complete the elements of their programs.

Standard entry
- Year 12 or equivalent
- Assumed Knowledge: Two subjects of Science, two units of English and Mathematics (not General Mathematics) at Band 4 or higher. Year 12 or equivalent Recommended studies: Physics and HSC Mathematics. Assumed Knowledge: Two subjects of Science, two units of English and Mathematics (not General Mathematics) at Band 4 or higher.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
