Course overview
Construction Management Studies at Western mixes work experience with study resulting in theoretical, practical and hands-on knowledge that is greatly valued in the construction industry. Your studies will include practical experiments in building technology such as acoustics, heat flow through a building, corrosion of materials, concerete testing and more. The skills you develop will then be used during your 1,200 hours of approved practical experience during the duration of the program. Standard entry
- Demonstration of the likelihood of graduating with an Honours Weighted Average Mark (HWAM) of at least 70 at the time of graduation
- Availability of a principal supervisor Students must meet all of the following criteria for admission: Completion of at least 160 credit points of law study (or 140 credit points if two Summer subjects are undertaken) Demonstration of the likelihood of graduating with an Honours Weighted Average Mark (HWAM) of at least 70 at the time of graduation Or an Admission Average Mark (AAM) of at least 70 at the time of admission to the Honours program. Submission of a Nomination of Topics form which expresses preferences among supervisor-defined topics and/or describes a student-defined topic in a scholarly manner. If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
