Course overview
Social scientists inform public debate, influence policy and have careers that make a real difference in the world. Through the Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) you'll learn and develop the knowledge and skills to understand, analyse and influence the political, social, environmental and economic challenges we face. The Honours program allows you to expand and deepen your understanding of these disciplines through a one-year independent research thesis, following your Bachelor of Social Science. You'll develop highly sought after analytical, problem solving and research skills.

Switch between domestic ATAR data and international qualification equivalents.

25Use the ATAR 65 band together with the relevant qualification and prerequisite requirements.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
