Course overview
The Associate Degree in Arts is a two-year course, full time (or part-time equivalent), specifically intended to assist students gain skills and knowledge in arts and academic studies in general. The course offers introductory units in academic literacy, computer application and critical thinking, and its structure is designed to enable students to gain core knowledge in at least two arts disciplines. The course provides a supported pathway into university study and eligible graduates may progress onto a University of Tasmania Bachelor of Arts degree. The Associate Degree may also be taken as a stand-alone qualification. This course is available as an exit program only.

If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
