Course overview
The Bachelor of Biomedical Science consists of a prescribed series of courses designed to develop a range of theoretical and practical skills. The course includes a general introduction to biological science, plus coverage of such topics as anatomy, molecular and cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, pathology, human physiology, immunology, neuroscience, and reproductive biology. In addition to the specific scientific knowledge gained through in-depth study, the degree aims to develop the capacity to understand and apply modern scientific principles to both scientific and non-scientific audiences and to critically analyse information. - Applicants with recent Secondary Education: Indicative ATAR of 70 with a score of 50+ in ATAR English, ATAR Literature or ATAR English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) OR Minimum International Baccalaureate (IB) score of 24
- OR Successful completion of the Notre Dame Tertiary Pathway Program or of another Enabling Program at a level deemed sufficient by the University. Applicants with recent Secondary Education: Indicative ATAR of 70 with a score of 50+ in ATAR English, ATAR Literature or ATAR English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) OR Minimum International Baccalaureate (IB) score of 24 Applicants with Higher Education Study. Other university studies completed at undergraduate level or higher, a minimum of 4 successfully completed subjects OR Successful completion of the Notre Dame Tertiary Pathway Program or of another Enabling Program at a level deemed sufficient by the University.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
