Course overview
The Master of Advanced Nursing Practice/Master of Public Health is a combined degree consisting of 200 credit points that combines both Advanced Nursing Practice and Public Health theory and practice. In undertaking this award, nurses will be equipped to assume future leadership roles and expand their scope of practice and reach into the health system. Upon graduating, students will be able to assume responsibility to lead health service developments and oversee dynamic changes to nursing practice in a way that creates change at a population level. Postgraduate entry
- A Master of Nursing Science (or equivalent) OR a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent), AND
- A graduate certificate OR graduate diploma (or equivalents) in specialty nursing practice or a public-health related specialty, AND
- A Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65% (or equivalent) in either your undergraduate or postgraduate qualification. A Master of Nursing Science (or equivalent) OR a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent), AND A graduate certificate OR graduate diploma (or equivalents) in specialty nursing practice or a public-health related specialty, AND A Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65% (or equivalent) in either your undergraduate or postgraduate qualification.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
