The Melbourne Business Schools Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science is a one-year degree that prepares you to enter the actuarial profession. Graduate Diploma students can apply to transfer to the Master of Actuarial Science if you wish to gain additional benefits offered by the two-year degree.

Postgraduate entry
- Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree with a major in mathematically-based subjects, such as studies in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, (or equivalent), AND
- Have completed the subjects MAST20004 Probability and MAST20005 Statistics or subjects in probability and statistics at an equivalent level, AND
- Submit a 500 word personal statement outlining why you wish to be considered for this course. Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree with a major in mathematically-based subjects, such as studies in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, (or equivalent), AND Have completed the subjects MAST20004 Probability and MAST20005 Statistics or subjects in probability and statistics at an equivalent level, AND Submit a 500 word personal statement outlining why you wish to be considered for this course.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
