Course overview

Delve within and produce an original contribution in your industry or field. In this program, you will learn advanced research skills and enhance your ability to critically review literature and case studies. In this program you will sharpen your faculties in problem-solving and decision-making in a rigorous environment for intellectual, professional and personal growth. To be eligible for Master of Arts candidature, applicants are normally required to hold a bachelor degree with at least Honours Class 2 Division II from a recognised institution.

Postgraduate entry

To be eligible for admission to a research Master degree, an applicant must hold: (a) a Bachelor degree (AQF Level 7) with a Grade Point Average of 5. 0 or higher on a seven point scale from a recognised higher education institution

  • (b) a Bachelor Honours degree (AQF Level 8) Class IIB from a recognised higher education institution
  • (c) a record of qualifications and/or professional research experience deemed to be equivalent to the standard of (a) or (b) as may be approved by the Research Degrees Committee, or the Chairperson acting on behalf of the Committee.
English requirement
IELTS Academic 6, no band below 5.5

If your current English result is below direct entry, consider the university-recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package; successful completion at the required level can usually satisfy English entry without another English test.
