Course overview
This is a postgraduate AQF level-8 qualification for registered nurses who have completed a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent Or a three-year diploma in nursing. This is one of the most popular courses in IHM; hundreds of overseas nurses who have completed this course have met the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency’s Australian nursing registration qualification eligibility requirements to work as a registered nurse in Australia by completing the new nursing registration process for Internationally Qualified Registered Nurses, called Outcomes-based Assessment (OBA).

Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.
Postgraduate entry
- Provide evidence of a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 with no band lower than 6, or comparable OET/PTE scores
- Students who do not have a valid English language exam score may take the IHM’s online English language test and meet the required pass mark (*applicable for online students only)
- IELTS: Overall 6.5 and no band less than 6.0
- PTE: Overall 56 and no band less than 46
