Course overview

A Graduate Diploma of Research Studies offers advanced theoretical and technical knowledge and skills in research. During your studies, you will undertake five core subjects, one elective subject and a double thesis subject. You will also gain advanced cognitive technical and communication skills, which you will use to analyse, evaluate, and transform information to complete a range of activities, and generate and transmit solutions to complex problems. On completion you will be equipped to work in research-related fields and support researchers with foundation research skills.

Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.

Postgraduate entry

A completed bachelor degree in any discipline from an Australian university or college with a credit average, or equivalent OR a completed coursework masters with a credit average OR a minimum of five years relevant professional experience

AND

Graduate Certificate OR a Graduate certificate of research studies with a credit average.

IELTS Academic 6.5

If your current English result is below direct entry, consider the university-recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package; successful completion at the required level can usually satisfy English entry without another English test.
