Whether you want to inspire others through teaching, find different ways of working, or use applied research to explore whats possible for future generations, you can turn your passion for education into a career with this advanced level degree. This is an intensive course of study, which will lead you to a professional doctorate degree in Education. Youll undertake coursework and applied research, leading to a dissertation. Youll conduct applied research in an area of your choice, such as school leadership, teacher professional learning, student learning, Aboriginal education, educational technologies, curriculum design, early childhood education, tertiary and adult education, education policy and sociology of education, to name a few.

Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.

Advanced academic study, research preparation and professional experience are required for admission to the course.

To be eligible for admission as a candidate for a Doctoral Degree (Professional), an applicant must have: *Bachelor Degree with at least a 2A Honours normally in the same discipline (AQF level 8).

  • * a Masters Degree normally in the same discipline (AQF level 9).
  • *a Bachelor Degree normally in the same discipline (AQF level 7) and satisfy the Dean of Graduate Studies with evidence of substantive and significant scholarly or professional attainments including satisfactory research preparation the equivalent of AQF level 8 or 9.
