Entry requirements
Review the captured standard entry requirements, English requirements and additional notes for this course.
Standard entry
- To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science (Honours) course, students must have completed a Bachelor degree (or an equivalent three-year undergraduate degree) with a relevant science major and must have at least a credit average in Science studies undertaken. Students who achieve at least two distinctions in relevant third year units may also be considered. Please note that offers made are limited by the number of places available, and preference is given to students who have completed their undergraduate degree at Swinburne. Agreement of a Project Supervisor for the Honours Research Project proposed is mandatory.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
