Entry requirements

Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.

Postgraduate entry

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline.
  • s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline. Or Have completed post-secondary study or at least two years full-time work experience, approved by the executive dean. Work experience relevant to the field of Communication is defined as: A demonstrated record of having worked in communication, public relations, marketing, advertising or community development roles, as a journalist/reporter/media producer or researcher in communication related fields, or in any other profession in which a portfolio was built up demonstrating communication expertise.
English requirement
IELTS 6.5, no band below 6TOEFL iBT 79, no band below 20PTE Academic 58-64, no band below 50Cambridge C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 176-184, no band below 169

If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
