Occupational therapy is a profession concerned with promoting health and well-being through occupation. The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in the activities of everyday life. Occupational therapists achieve this outcome by enabling people to do the things that will enhance their ability to participate or by modifying their environment to better support participation. Occupational therapists have a broad education that equips them with skills and knowledge to work collaboratively with individuals or groups of people (and their communities) who have an impairment of body structure or function due to a health condition, and who experience barriers to participation....

Standard entry

Completed year 12 in Australia or overseas in the past two years,

  • Completed TAFE or VET studies in the past two years
  • Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study are those whose highest level of study since leaving secondary education is a VET course.

This includes study at a public TAFE or other VET provider, whether a qualification was completed or not.

Applicants with VET study may have other qualifications such as a Year 10 or Year 12 secondary school certificate

  • Applicants with higher education are those whose highest level of study since leaving secondary education is a higher education course, such as a university degree.

This may include applicants who are currently studying a higher education course at another education provider and want to transfer to Curtin University, or applicants who are currently studying at Curtin but want to switch to a different course.

It may also include applicants who have completed past study with university and non-university higher education providers.

English requirement
