Course overview
Electrical Engineering deals with the generation, distribution, and use of electric power. This includes generators, motors, transformers, batteries and renewable energy systems. The electrical industry is one of South Australia’s major employers and one of the State’s growth areas. The associate degree gives students a firm foundation in both theoretical study and practical skills, with an emphasis on strong site management skills as needed by the construction industry. This is a Higher Education qualification which leads to employment and/or fast-track into further study at university.

- Recent secondary Recent completion of Year 12 and Year 12 Specialist Mathematics OR Mathematical Methods OR General Mathematics or equivalent with a minimum ATAR of 60 Work-Life Other Non-recent completion of Year 12 and Year 12 Specialist Mathematics OR Mathematical Methods OR General Mathematics or equivalent with a minimum ATAR of 60 Satisfactory achievement in the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) with a minimum score of 140 VET Certificate III or higher in an Engineering related area
