Course overview
The Diploma of Engineering introduces you to the key areas of physics, mathematics and design required by Engineering professionals. This helps you get a sense of the different fields of Engineering to help learn about your individual interests for future studies and your career. The Diploma of Engineering leads to a variety of specialist Engineering degrees at UniSA which will prepare you for a diverse set of occupations in industries such as Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering along with other pathways such as Aviation.
You can use this Diploma to take you into the second year of a range of different Bachelor preferences at the University of South Australia or into the first year with standing credit. Possible options include Aviation, Construction Management, Civil and Structural Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Standard entry
- Recent secondary Qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or equivalent recent year 11 (Stage 1) or year 12 (Stage 2) qualification (including the International Baccalaureate Diploma). Higher Ed Completed or partially completed a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution, or Completed a University Foundation Studies, Bridging or Enabling program Work-Life Other Completed a non-recent SACE Stage 1 (year 11) or SACE Stage 2 (year 12) qualification or equivalent, or STAT multiple choice test, or Employment experience If you have been employed in the Australian Defence Force you may be eligible to apply for an undergraduate course on the basis of your service.
