Course overview
The Diploma of Event Management provides you with the business skills needed to run large-scale events. It builds a foundation of knowledge on producing creative and innovative concepts within business environments as well as the best ways to execute these projects. An event management degree qualifies you to find employment in managing major events or gives you a pathway for continued study at bachelor level.
This event management course has been designed to provide you with a broad base of generalist skills and knowledge covering events, communication, marketing and management over eight core subjects. The course is available on campus or online so you can tailor your course to suit your lifestyle. Upon completion, you have the opportunity to move into a Bachelor of Business to earn a full event management degree. Learning outcomes

Areas of Study: Academic and business communication, business and corporations law , marketing in digital era, the business of events, the business environment, understanding self and others. Students can also choose electives in the areas of introduction to entrepreneurship, sales and negotiation strategies, sports marketing, venture ideation.

Standard entry
- Recent secondary Qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or equivalent recent year 12 qualification (including the International Baccalaureate Diploma). Higher Ed Completed or partially completed a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution, or Completed a University Foundation Studies, Bridging or Enabling program Work-Life Other Completed a non-recent SACE or equivalent secondary education qualification with a competitive selection rank, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), or STAT multiple choice test (optional), or Personal competencies and/or employment experience (optional) If you have studied at higher education level in the last two years, you must not have accumulated more than a total of two full-time years of higher education study in order to use your STAT/PCA/Employment results. If you have been employed in the Australian Defence Force you may be eligible to apply for an undergraduate course on the basis of your service. See here .
