Course overview
Study the only double degree of its kind in South Australia. Combine your ambition to become a registered pharmacist with additional expertise in pharmaceutical sciences.
You'll benefit from a university with more than 50 years' experience in pharmaceutical science and pharmacy education. Develop a strong understanding of drug product development and trends affecting drug formulation. Couple your clinical pharmacy knowledge with the skills to work in areas such as drug discovery, manufacturing and production, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, and pharmaceutical sales and marketing.
Complete a minimum of 80 hours in an industry research project or placement relating to your area of interest.
The honours component of this degree satisfies the academic requirements for registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (PBA), which is also determined by a period of supervised training. On graduation, you'll also be eligible for membership with the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) and other relevant professional bodies such as AusBiotech.
