Course overview

High-impact communicators are essential in every organisation and industry, including advertising, tourism, entertainment, and government. The Bachelor of Media and Communication equips you with the creativity, strategic thinking and future-focused skills essential to develop data-driven content plans, and to implement communication activities across digital platforms and professional contexts.

The degree aims to provide the knowledge and skills to be able to research, write, design and produce communication content for a range of media platforms with the ability to adapt written style for different audiences and purposes. Students will graduate as an innovative content creator, using professional writing, graphic design, social media and public relations skills to manage communication across a variety of industries.

City Campus

Flinders City Campus offers a broad range of study areas and is designed for collaborative learning, interactive teaching and industry engagement. Positioned adjacent to the Adelaide Railway Station on North Terrace and central to trams and buses, the City Campus provides students with greater connection, convenience and accessibility.

Practical experience

Students will build a professional portfolio, and gain industry experience and connections through a placement and practical projects and workplace simulations.
