Course overview

Combine practical learning based on solving real-world business problems with the skills to analyse and understand key issues that businesses deal with every day. The Bachelor of Business provides you with the fundamental knowledge, contemporary case studies, workplace skills development and live industry experience to pursue a career in business.

The Bachelor of Business provides students with the opportunity to develop broad knowledge and competencies, students will be encouraged and supported to develop transferable interpersonal and professional capabilities, including the ability to be reflective, self-evaluating and critically engaged. There is a focus on application of knowledge to diverse and global business and organisational contexts including systems and processes, planning, production, operations and the use of current and emerging data and analytical practices.

There are eight majors available within this degree: Leading Change, Management, Marketing, International Business, Human Resource Management, Small Business Leadership, Sports Management and Event Management & Tourism. Pursue one of these majors to explore an area of specialised interest and focus your future career, or choose your own adventure and discover areas you're particularly passionate about as you study.

City Campus

Flinders City Campus offers a broad range of study areas and is designed for collaborative learning, interactive teaching and industry engagement. Positioned adjacent to the Adelaide Railway Station on North Terrace and central to trams and buses, the City Campus provides students with greater connection, convenience and accessibility.

Your career

On completion of this degree students will be able to critically apply broad theoretical and technical accounting, finance, economic, marketing, human resources management and management knowledge and skills to inform business planning and strategy. Analyse business practices and decisions using theoretical and technical knowledge of regulatory, governance, compliance and legal requirements and apply theoretical knowledge, technical competencies, and critical judgement to provide solutions to routine business problems.

This degree prepares graduates to work throughout the world with a range of opportunities continually expanding including senior positions in both the public and private sector. Potential occupations may include client service executive, human resource associate and marketing manager; potential employers may include private sector businesses, government agencies and not-for-profit organisations.
