Follow your passion by choosing distinctive learning pathways, from biomedical, research, and social determinants of population health and equity, to Indigenous health, economic factors, and global approaches to health issues, such as obesity and heart disease. This degree will help you put theory into practice to prepare you for employment via industry placements, interdisciplinary problem-solving, and specific topics which develop skills in teamwork, leadership, and advocacy as an agent of change.

Practical experience
This degree provides students with practical experience that prepares them for the workforce. Students will put theory into practice via industry placements, interdisciplinary problem-solving, and specific topics which develop skills in teamwork, leadership, and advocacy as agents of change. They will be given the opportunity to undertake a professional placement with a local health organisation to develop an authentic public health project, as well as partake in problem-based interprofessional training through simulated learning and team work.
Your career
Graduates can gain employment in public health policy, management and practice. Potential occupations may include public health research officer, community development officer and clinical trials coordinator. The focus on research development throughout the degree also provides clear pathways to further learning and research experience. This degree can be used as a pathway to the Flinders Doctor of Medicine.

If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package.
