Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours)

Physiotherapists help to get people moving, from office workers, to elite athletes, children with disabilities and elderly people with degenerative conditions. Upon completion of this program, students will earn internationally recognised qualifications and become skilled healthcare professionals who help people improve their mobility and function. and reduce pain. From their first year, students build a strong foundation of applied study in medical science, physiotherapy science, anatomy, professional ethics, psychology, and therapeutic exercise. This prepares them to care for people with musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, and other conditions. Students participate in an extensive, award-winning simulated patient program in UQ’s hospital simulation ward and the UQ Physiotherapy Clinics to prepare them for full-time supervised clinical practice. They undertake supervised clinical practice in a range of settings such as hospitals, educational facilities, aged and community care and private practice.
