Course overview

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) prepares students to play a vital role in the healthcare system. Pharmacists improve people’s lives through education, disease prevention, patient counselling, and medication reviews. They also develop an extensive understanding of drugs, their side-effects and interactions, how they work, and correct dosages. Pharmacists work in a range of settings such as community and hospital pharmacies, within industry, and in research. In this program, students will learn in dedicated laboratories and simulated pharmacies about the properties of medicines, how medicines affect the body, and the pharmacy profession. They will undertake more than 600 hours of supervised clinical placements, including two 6-week placements in their final year of study.
