Bachelor of Music / Diploma in Languages

The Bachelor of Music is intended for students wishing to pursue a professional career in music, and integrates the development of practical skills with theoretical and historical musical knowledge. Graduates of the program are equipped for professional careers in music and to undertake Honours research. By combining the BMus with the Diploma in Languages students will gain valuable language and cultural proficiency skills that are highly sought after in the global marketplace, where multilingual capabilities are increasingly essential for all musicians, not just those pursuing an operatic career. Languages available are: Ancient Greek, Chinese, Chinese Translation and Interpreting, French, French Advanced, German, Indonesian, Japanese, Japanese Advanced, Korean, Latin, Russian (Minor only) and Spanish.
