Course overview
This diploma course will provide students with the specialised skills and knowledge to be an expert event manager. TAFE Queensland's highly-experienced team of industry professionals will ensure students gain hands-on and theoretical knowledge in the workplace and access to our state-of-the-art facilities using the latest industry software. This course also provides students with the specialised skills and knowledge to lead and manage people, coordinate marketing activities, creatively collaborate and manage financial budgets.
Combined diploma/degrees: The Diploma of Event Management can be combined with other programs as listed below to attain the awards of Diploma of Event Management from TAFE Queensland and the relevant degree from the university. Students undertake initial study at TAFE Queensland and complete the degree at the relevant university. Duration, location, mode of study, semester intake, electives and specialisations may vary. All mandatory university admission and English language requirements must be met before university enrolment is finalised. For more information contact the relevant university. Note: TAFE Queensland students making transition to the degree may need to wait six months to start with the semester one university intake.
To apply for a combined diploma/degree, applicants must select the Diploma of Event Management for the relevant TAFE Queensland location on their application and nominate their preferred degree/university (one only). Applicants can list the stand alone diploma or the combined program but not both. Listing more than one is not needed because they have the same eligibility and ATAR/rank requirements.
