Bachelor of Dental Technology

This degree is ideal for students who like to work behind the scenes creating and manufacturing dentures, crowns, bridges and orthodontic appliances. It suits students who enjoy working with their hands, with an attention to detail, who prefer not to work directly with a patient. This is the only internationally benchmarked dental technology degree in Australia. In the first year, you’ll learn foundational skills in health science, be introduced to prosthetics and develop skills in the dental laboratory. Second year applies knowledge of dental materials to dental laboratory practice. Laboratory experience is continued through all years with an emphasis on work-integrated learning in your third year.
