Course overview
This program combines a creative engineering approach with industrial design innovation. It is designed to help students develop technical and academic skills before progressing into the bachelor with 30 credit points. They learn through project-based design studios, technical learning studios and “learning through making”. Students experience traditional engineering learning and are provided with the opportunity to develop their engineering knowledge, professional practice and design skills - bringing them together for project work throughout the degree. The degree takes a hands-on approach to teaching that uses advanced technologies such as 3D printing. Students graduate with an ability for innovation and creativity in industrial design, while working within the principles of engineering.
